Аннотация

This article discusses the importance of mass media as an effective tool in teaching English vocabulary to
young learners. Unlike traditional rote-learning methods that focus on memorization and textbook-based classroom
instruction, mass media offers more interactive and engaging alternatives that address the cognitive and emotional development
needs of children. The article analyzes the benefits of visual, auditory, and digital aspects of media, which can
enhance vocabulary retention, comprehension, and motivation to learn. Using key educational theories such as Dual-
Coding Theory and the role of repetition in memory, the article explores how educational cartoons, interactive videos, and
gamified learning tools work together to create a more effective vocabulary learning process. Through meaningful and
multimodal exposure to new vocabulary, mass media not only helps children develop their language skills but also keeps
the learning process fun, dynamic, and relevant to the needs of our digital-native young learners
