This article explores the educational effectiveness of the question-and-answer technique in developing reading
comprehension skills in English among high school students. The study involved the formation of experimental and
control groups, using tests and interviews to evaluate the impact of the method. The findings revealed that the question-
and-answer approach significantly enhanced students’ abilities to engage with texts actively, think critically, and draw
independent conclusions. Furthermore, the level and type of questions were found to be crucial in developing students’
reading skills. These results highlight the importance of the effective use and methodological refinement of the question-
and-answer technique in educational settings
