Interactive Methods for Developing Sociolinguistic Competence in Higher Education

This article examines the theoretical and methodological significance of interactive methods in developing
sociolinguistic competence among higher education students. Particular attention is given to role-play, case studies,
situational
tasks, discussions, and collaborative activities that enable learners to use language appropriately according to
social context, communicative purpose, participants’ status, and cultural norms.
