This article examines the significance of intercultural competence as a critical skill for effective communication
in an increasingly globalized world. It explores the key components of intercultural competence, including cultural
self-awareness, knowledge of other cultures, empathy, the ability to interpret verbal and non-verbal cues, and adaptability.
The paper further outlines practical strategies for developing intercultural competence, such as direct cultural exposure,
structured academic learning, attentive listening, openness to difference, and reflective feedback. The findings highlight
that intercultural competence is not a fixed skill but a continuously evolving capacity essential for success in international
business, education, and diplomacy, as well as for fostering social cohesion in multicultural societies
