This article analyzes the pedagogical opportunities of using innovative educational technologies in organizing
laboratory classes in Zoology. The role of modern pedagogical technologies in improving the practical training of pre-service
biology teachers, developing their research skills, and fostering professional competencies is highlighted. The study
demonstrates that the integration of problem-based learning, project-based learning, the STEAM approach, digital technologies,
and virtual laboratories contributes significantly to enhancing the effectiveness of students’ practical activities.
The findings indicate that innovative educational technologies promote active learning, independent inquiry, critical
thinking, and the acquisition of practical skills necessary for future professional practice in biology education
