Speaking is one of the most important skills in language learning, yet it is often the most challenging for
learners to master. Traditional classroom materials may not always provide sufficient exposure to natural language use,
authentic pronunciation, and real-life communication patterns. As a result, educators and learners increasingly turn to
authentic videos as an effective tool for improving speaking skills. Authentic videos, such as TED Talks, interviews, podcasts,
documentaries, television programs, and YouTube content, expose learners to genuine language used by native
speakers in real contexts. This article explores the role of authentic videos in developing speaking proficiency, examines
their advantages, discusses practical strategies for their implementation, and highlights potential challenges. The findings
suggest that authentic videos significantly contribute to improving pronunciation, fluency, vocabulary acquisition, listening
comprehension, and communicative competence
