This scientific article examines the role of national values in English and Uzbek literature through the IMRAD
research structure. The study analyzes how writers reflect cultural identity, traditions, moral principles, and social values in
literary works. English literature represented by Jane Austen and William Shakespeare is compared with Uzbek literature
represented by Abdulla Qodiriy and Erkin Vohidov. The research applies comparative and descriptive methods to identify
similarities and differences between the two literary traditions. The findings reveal that literature plays an important role in
preserving national identity, educating society, and strengthening cultural awareness. The article concludes that despite
historical and cultural differences, both English and Uzbek literature promote universal human values such as morality,
respect, loyalty, and patriotism.
