The article examines modern approaches to developing creativity in primary school students through artistic
and creative activities. Domestic and international research is analyzed, revealing the role of art-pedagogical tools in the
formation of children’s creative thinking, as well as their emotional and cognitive development. Special attention is paid
to the integration of traditional and digital methods, which makes it possible to increase students’ motivation, stimulate
independent creativity, and foster critical thinking. A review of the literature shows that the effective development of creative
abilities is achievable through a comprehensive approach that takes into account the psychological and pedagogical
characteristics of children, as well as national educational standards. The presented conclusions can be used to improve
teaching methodologies and to organize creative activities in primary education
