Аннотация

In recent years, the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies has marked a qualitatively
new stage in English language teaching. AI-based adaptive learning platforms, speech recognition systems, automated
assessment tools, intelligent chatbots, and real-time language analytics facilitate personalized instruction, address
learners’ individual needs, and enhance instructional effectiveness. This article examines the future role of artificial intelligence
in English language teaching by analyzing key development trends, anticipated pedagogical changes, and promising
research directions based on studies published between 2020–2025. In addition, the paper highlights pedagogical,
ethical, and methodological challenges associated with the integration of AI technologies into English language education
