The integration of technology into language teaching has revolutionized vocabulary instruction, particularly
within the field of English for Specific Purposes (ESP). Among the most impactful technological advancements are Artificial
Intelligence (AI) and corpus linguistics. Each approach offers distinct advantages: AI enhances interactivity and
enables personalized learning experiences, whereas corpus linguistics provides authentic language input rooted in realworld
contexts. This article examines the respective strengths and limitations of both methods, comparing their influence
on vocabulary acquisition, learner engagement, and pedagogical effectiveness. Based on current research and practical
implementation, the paper concludes that a blended approach–integrating AI with corpus-based tools–produces the most
effective results in ESP vocabulary instruction.
