Аннотация

This paper presents a comparative linguistic analysis of proverbs and aphoristic expressions in English and
Uzbek, focusing on their structural, semantic, and cultural dimensions. Proverbs and aphorisms, as condensed carriers
of collective wisdom, reflect the worldview, values, and communicative styles of their respective cultures. The study
explores the syntactic structures, figurative language elements, and key semantic fields represented in both languages,
highlighting similarities and differences in form, meaning, and pragmatic usage. Special attention is given to culturally
marked concepts such as family, labor, morality, and fate. The findings contribute to intercultural communication, translation
theory, and paremiological studies, offering insights for linguists, educators, and translators dealing with culturally
bound expressions.
